Course level: Undergraduate Course description: This course deals with the study of elementary mechanics. Emphasis is placed on the fundamental concepts and laws of mechanics especially the conservation laws. Topics discussed are: scalar and vector quantities of mechanics; rectilinear and circular motion; equilibrium and Newton's laws of motion; work, energy, momentum; the conservation laws. There are 15 video lessons of 90 minutes in length. Student must own or have access to: a personal computer, modem and communications software for connection to collaborative learning environment.
